BC Ride to Conquer Cancer - Post Ride Report

June 19/20 - ALC  members put the rubber to the road for an inspiring cause - the second annual BC Ride to Conquer Cancer.  Both Charlotte and Meredith raised the $2500 minimum to participate in the 2-day road cycling event from Vancouver to Seattle; along with Meredith Wilson, Sharon Spinder from Active Life Physiotherapy was also out on the ride! - all were raising funds to support the BC Cancer Agency in their effort to find a cure.

Highlights of the ~250km ride from Vancouver to Seattle:
  • - Wicked jersey and bib short tans from Day 1
  • - 2 free beers in camp post-ride
  • - Limited sleep due to epic snorers overnight at camp
  • - Hypothermic shivers and blue lips from Day 2
  • - Meredith wrangled her way into riding with some N.Van District Firefighters - yeeeha!
  • - Mandatory Espresso stop for Charlotte and her Seaspan work team...
