Hi All,
For the road ride tonight at 6pm, the meeting place is the head of the paved trail at the Seymour Demonstration Forest. Hope to see you all there (keep your fingers crossed that the rain stops).

BC Ride to Conquer Cancer - Post Ride Report
June 19/20 - ALC members put the rubber to the road for an inspiring cause - the second annual BC Ride to Conquer Cancer. Both Charlotte and Meredith raised the $2500 minimum to participate in the 2-day road cycling event from Vancouver to Seattle; along with Meredith Wilson, Sharon Spinder from Active Life Physiotherapy was also out on the ride! - all were raising funds to support the BC Cancer Agency in their effort to find a cure.
Highlights of the ~250km ride from Vancouver to Seattle:
- - Wicked jersey and bib short tans from Day 1
- - 2 free beers in camp post-ride
- - Limited sleep due to epic snorers overnight at camp
- - Hypothermic shivers and blue lips from Day 2
- - Meredith wrangled her way into riding with some N.Van District Firefighters - yeeeha!
- - Mandatory Espresso stop for Charlotte and her Seaspan work team...
Approximately $9 million dollars was raised this weekend
- Great Job to all R2CC riders!

Armstrong Century - Race/Ride Report
Great riding at the Okanagan Shuswap Century Ride this past weekend. I rode on Sunday with 400+ other riders on a great 100K route starting in Armstrong BC. Although it was a training ride, there was definitely a race-like feel to the event and it was excellent to work on group cycling skills as the 'second group' peleton ripped along Silver Creek Valley toward Salmon Arm. I finished in just over 3hr20 minutes for a 100K, not bad for a first Century. Check out some photos HERE!
See you out on the trails... and roads - Charlotte
PS - don't forget this week is Bike to Work Week in Vancouver right now - get out on two wheels!
